Mid century modern
The brief: Our design brief was to create a mid century modern style ,minimalist interior. The key focus was the view from the apartment and the design of the apartment was to be a minimalist backdrop to the fantastic view outside. Spaces needed to be replanned and renovated to enable a more functioning and aesthetic space. The client had existing pieces of furniture which needed to be incorporated in our new design scheme.
Approach: We retained the existing structure of the apartment, but we knocked down and added walls to ensure that the space was better utilized, allocating different zones of the space specifically for work and play. We redesigned the ceilings and relocated m and e pipes to increase the ceiling height of the entire apartment. One of our biggest achievements was to overhaul the lighting in the apartment . It was a key design feature where we used both direct and indirect lighting sources at varying heights to give us the desired effect.
